According to the Qur'an and authentic Sunnah, Islam teaches that the true religion accepted by Allah is Islam itself:
Surah Āl 'Imrān 3:19
"Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam."
Surah Āl 'Imrān 3:85
"Whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted from him, and in the Hereafter he will be among the losers."
Islam is not only a set of beliefs; it is also a way of life built upon tawḥīd (worshiping Allah alone), good character (akhlaq), justice, mercy, honesty, patience, and righteous deeds.
Allah says:
Surah An-Nahl 16:90
"Indeed, Allah commands justice, excellence, and giving to relatives, and forbids immorality, wrongdoing, and oppression."
Surah Al-Baqarah 2:177
Righteousness includes faith in Allah, the Last Day, charity, prayer, fulfilling promises, and patience.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
"I was sent only to perfect noble character."
— Musnad Ahmad
This is why adab (proper manners) in Islam is not merely social etiquette. True adab begins with honoring Allah, obeying His commands, treating people kindly, speaking truthfully, and fulfilling rights and responsibilities.
As for Jannah, Allah describes it as a place where hearts are completely purified:
Surah Al-A‘rāf 7:43
"We will remove whatever is in their hearts of resentment."
Surah Al-Hijr 15:47
"We will remove whatever is in their breasts of rancor; they will be brothers, facing one another upon thrones."
In Jannah, love and friendship are pure. There is no jealousy, betrayal, heartbreak, insecurity, or selfishness. Every relationship exists in harmony under the pleasure of Allah.
The greatest reality of Jannah is not merely its gardens, rivers, or palaces. It is nearness to Allah and His pleasure. Allah says:
Surah At-Tawbah 9:72
"But the approval of Allah is greater."
Therefore, Islam teaches that recognizing Allah as the One true God gives meaning to identity, purpose, love, friendship, and worship. Worldly labels and divisions fade, while what remains is faith, righteousness, and the eternal reward prepared for those who believed and obeyed Allah.
